Add a CommentI wasn't sure that I would enjoy this movie, especially considering how the beginning felt rushed to me. Then, when the tragedy struck, things really got emotional and slowed down to the right speed for me to appreciate. I was very moved by each person's grief, especially Ida. In addition, what I really found captivating was the message behind all of this: finding a way to forgive the seemingly unforgivable. People should not hold onto hatred. As an nonreligious person, I find leaving my hatred for God to handle quite difficult to swallow, but I can certainly see the logic behind it. Why should I carry the weight and continue to suffer? Release is the best way to move on and live your life without the burden of hatred and all the negativity in which it surrounds. This movie contains a POWERFUL message!
i remembered !!! I choice to forgive because it is too much work
painful story but shows the power of forgiveness
Powerful movie about forgiveness. Sad to see how Charlie's wife's own church didn't help her.
See how the Amish live out their faith - to show forgiveness when to many it's impossible to comprehend.
If you want to learn about true love, watch this movie...fabulous!
