Add a CommentThis novel is very similar to Tehran Initiative; while this novel sets up the action for Tehran Initiative the Tehran Initiative completes this story. I found that this novel does get bogged down at times with thoughts, feelings, explanations, synopsis of articles. Perhaps with some editing these two titles, Twelfth Imam and Tehran Initiative, could have been amalgamated or published as 2 shorter novels. Story is still topical.
A colleague recommended this story to me because I mentioned that I liked Raymond Khoury. It's a well-written story and pretty action-packed. However, I could not get past the overt Christian overtones. I've heard subtler messages from Pentacostal preachers! I'll read the next one (Tehran Initiative) just because the story is entertaining, but pick this one up with a grain of salt.
Great book.. read it several months ago but only now returning to review. Had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. My only complaint is the end in that it sets itself up for a follow up. Hoping there is one..
This was the first book I have read by Rosenberg and I enjoyed it. I was a little concerned in the beginning I would have a hard time following the story with all the middle eastern cities/names but that wasn't the case at all!
A very realistic scenario. Its hard to believe that this book was published some 2 years ago. Reads like today's headlines.
This is just a religious propaganda. It shows the extend of similarities between the two religions.
